Our Dragon squad consist of approximately 10 to 15 regulars who are all from 5 to 8 years old. The Dragon players make up an important part of the EGH Judokan although unable to compete at major competitions they do to take part in demonstrations and displays. They are also receive awards for their contributions at the presentation evening held every July.

Dragon grading consists of five different stages and their belts are a different colour to that of the juniors. They grade at intervals, as and when they are ready from one purple stripe to five or a purple belt which is seen to these very young children as a great achievement almost like getting a black belt.
